Ingredients
- 1 c. hot water
- 5 Tbsp. shortening
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 pkg. yeast
- 2 Tbsp. warm water
- 3 c. plain flour
Directions

1Pour boiling water over shortening, sugar and salt.

2Blend and let cool.

3Add egg.

4Sprinkle yeast on warm water until dissolved. Add egg; mix.

5Gradually add flour, blending well.

6Place in a large covered container in refrigerator overnight.

7Use dough as you need to.

8It will keep several days in refrigerator.

9When ready to use, roll out dough on a floured waxed paper, small amount at a time.

10Cut with biscuit cutter; brush with melted butter.

11Cover and let rise until doubled.

12Bake at 400° for 10 minutes.
