- 1 c. hot water
- 1 egg
- 1/4 c. oil
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 3 1/2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 yeast cake dissolved in 1/3 c. warm water
Directions

1Put all ingredients in mixing bowl except 1 cup flour (use this one cup to roll out rolls) and yeast.

2Beat smooth; add yeast mixture.

3Let rise in warm place for 1 hour or until double in size.

4Pour dough out over the 1 cup flour; knead until smooth, roll out to 1/2-inch thick and cut.

5Place into greased pan.

6Let rise until double.

7Bake at 350° for 20 minutes.

8Brush with butter.

9Shape into loaf, if desired and bake at 350° for 1 hour. Recipe makes one loaf.
