Ingredients

  • 1 (12 oz.) can evaporated milk
  • 2 1/2 c. instant powdered skim milk
  • 1 1/2 qt. whole milk
  • 6 Tbsp. plain Dannon or Yoplait yogurt (natural yogurt without gelatin)

Directions

    Mix milks together; heat on medium to just before boiling. (Top of milk is frothy and steam is rising to the top.) Cool milk mixture to warm (110°).

    Mix a cup of milk with yogurt and stir until smooth.

    Add to remaining milk mixture.

    Mix and blend. Place in quart jars in warm place (110° to 115°) overnight, covered in a cloth (over pilot light of gas stove or in a warm oven).
