- 4 Tbsp. cocoa
- 1/2 c. boiling water
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 c. corn oil
- 4 large eggs
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 c. yogurt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 1/2 c. self-rising flour
Directions

1Line a 9-inch square cake pan with greased wax paper.

2Dissolve cocoa in boiling water and stir in baking soda.

3Let cool.

4Beat corn oil and sugar well and add eggs, one at a time, beating well before each addition.

5Sift in flour and salt and fold alternately with yogurt.

6Stir in cooled chocolate mixture and vanilla.

7Pour into pan and bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes.

8Cake can be eaten plain or with cream.
