- 1 c. butter or margarine
- 2 c. sugar
- 3 c. sifted plain flour
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 4 eggs
- 1 c. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Cream butter.

2Gradually add sugar, creaming until light and fluffy, about 10 minutes on medium speed on the mixer.

3Add flavoring.

4Stir flour with baking powder and salt.

5Add eggs, one at a time, to creamed mixture beating well after each addition. Add flour mixture alternately with milk, beating after each addition until smooth.

6Pour into 3 layer cake pans.

7Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes.

8Cool in pan for 10 minutes.

9Turn out.

10Cool on rack.

11Frost with Pineapple Cake Icing.
