Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. shortening, softened
  • 1 c. boiling water
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 pkg. yeast
  • 1 c. warm water
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 6 c. flour
  • about 2 more c. flour

Directions

    Cream the sugar and shortening.

    Add boiling water.

    Beat well. Add eggs.

    Dissolve yeast in warm water.

    Mix salt with 6 cups flour.

    Mix well.

    Knead in about 2 more cups of flour.

    Put in large greased bowl.

    Let raise 1 hour.

    Shape into buns and let raise 1 hour.

    Bake at 350° about 15 to 20 minutes until lightly browned.
