  • 1 c. water
  • 1/4 c. shortening
  • 3 1/2 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 stick oleo
  • 3 1/2 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1/3 c. milk
  • 1 lb. powdered sugar
  • 1 c. chopped nuts

Directions

    When cake has been baking for 18 minutes, combine oleo, cocoa and milk.

    Bring to a boil.

    Add powdered sugar and chopped nuts. Pour over hot cake when removed from oven.
