- 2/3 c. water
- 1/3 c. vinegar
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. salad oil
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cucumber
- 1 small onion
Directions

1Combine water and vinegar.

2Add sugar and stir until it is dissolved.

3Add salad oil, salt and pepper.

4Peel cucumber and score lengthwise with a fork.

5Slice thinly.

6Peel onion; slice thinly and separate into rings.

7Put into vinegar mixture and mix lightly.

8Cover; refrigerate at least one hour and up to 24 hours.
