  • 1 1/2 c. Crisco shortening
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 c. milk
  • 3 1/2 c. plain flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon flavoring
  • 1 tsp. vanilla/butternut flavoring
  • 1/2 tsp. almond flavoring (I use more of the flavorings)

Directions

    Cream shortening with sugar for 5 minutes (this is very important).

    Add eggs, one at a time.

    Add flour with salt alternately with milk.

    Add flavorings.

    Beat well.

    Bake 1 1/2 hours at 325° in a tube pan that has been greased on the bottom only.

    Cool 5 minutes and remove from pan.
