  • 2 to 2 1/2 lb. stew meat
  • 1 (16 oz.) can diced tomatoes (or 14.5 oz.)
  • 4 potatoes, peeled and cut in cubes
  • 4 sticks celery
  • 4 unpeeled carrots, cut in strips
  • 4 onions, cut in rings
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 3 Tbsp. tapioca
  • salt, pepper, parsley flakes, red pepper flakes
