  • 1 1/2 lb. stew meat
  • 1 c. cut celery
  • 3 potatoes, cubed
  • 4 medium carrots, sliced
  • 2 medium onions, sliced
  • 1 c. tomato juice or canned tomatoes
  • 1/2 c. fresh bread crumbs
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 3 tsp. tapioca or Minute tapioca
  • 1/2 c. water

Directions

    Mix all the ingredients together, put in a roaster and bake 5 hours at 250°.

    Cover and do not raise lid during the 5 hours. More juice can be used if desired.
