  • 2 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 yeast cake
  • 2 Tbsp. lard
  • 2 Tbsp. warm water
  • 1/2 c. warm water or milk

Directions

    Sift flour, salt and sugar together.

    Cut in lard.

    Add the yeast, dissolved in 2 tablespoons of water and warm milk.

    Work lightly until smooth.

    Roll out like biscuits and cut with cutter or shape in balls for cloverleaf.

    Let rise 1 hour and bake in oven at 375°.
