  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 3 c. sifted cake flour
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. lemon flavoring
  • 1 c. 7-Up (no substitute)

Directions

    Cream shortening and sugar.

    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

    Add flour gradually.

    Add vanilla, lemon flavoring and 7-Up.

    Bake in a greased tube pan 1 hour and 10 minutes in 325° oven.
