  • 2 sticks butter
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon extract
  • 3 c. Swans Down cake flour
  • 6 oz. or 3/4 c. 7-Up

Directions

    Cream butter and shortening together until creamy.

    Add sugar gradually until fluffy.

    Add eggs, one at a time.

    Add lemon extract.

    Blend in flour with spoon; fold in 7-Up.

    Bake in well-greased tube pan at 350° for 45 minutes.
