- 5 eggs
- 2 1/4 c. sugar
- 2 sticks butter
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 2 Tbsp. lemon extract
- 3 c. Swans Down cake flour
- 6 oz. or 3/4 c. 7-Up
Directions

1Cream butter and shortening together until creamy.

2Add sugar gradually until fluffy.

3Add eggs, one at a time.

4Add lemon extract.

5Blend in flour with spoon; fold in 7-Up.

6Bake in well-greased tube pan at 350° for 45 minutes.
