  • 1 pkg. dry yeast
  • 2 Tbsp. melted shortening
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. lukewarm water
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 3 to 5 c. flour

Directions

    Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water.

    Add shortening, sugar, salt and enough flour to make a stiff dough.

    Cover and let rise in a warm place about 50 minutes.

    Turn out on a floured board.

    Make into rolls.

    Place in greased pan and allow to rise 20 minutes. Bake at 375° for 20 minutes.
