Ingredients

  • 7 large eggs
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 4 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 qt. skim milk
  • 4 c. diced bread
  • 1 c. raisins
  • nutmeg or cinnamon

Directions

    Beat eggs and sugar together well. Add vanilla, salt and skim milk. Spread bread and raisins in bottom of greased 9 x 13-inch pan.

    Cover with custard mixture. Let stand for 15 minutes. Sprinkle with nutmeg or cinnamon. Place in pan of hot water. Bake at 350° until knife in center comes out clean.
