A Simple Salad

Ingredients

  • 5 tbsp Olive oil
  • 5 tbsp Vinegar
  • 1/3 tsp Salt
  • 1 Black pepper
  • 1/2 clove Garlic (grated)
  • 1 whatever you like Vegetables

    Mix all the ingredients together.

    Combine with vegetables of your choice.

    You can use several kinds of vegetables at once, I prefer eating one kind of vegetable at a time.

    Carrots: Finely julienne the carrots, and blanch briefly.

    Nanohana (rape blossoms): Boil, and cut into bite sized pieces.

    New potatoes: Scrub the skins well, cook in the microwave and mix with the dressing.

    I usually make 2 servings of salad at a time, and use 2 to 3 tablespoons of the dressing.

    Use as much as you prefer.

    Add 1/4 of an onion, finely chopped, to the dressing for a delicious variation.

    The dressing is also good with tender spring cabbage, carrot and canned tuna.
