  • 4 c. flour
  • 4 Tbsp. shortening
  • 2 pkg. yeast
  • 3 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1 c. warm water

Directions

    Dissolve yeast in warm water.

    Add shortening, sugar, flour and milk; mix and knead.

    Roll out and cut into biscuits.

    Place into pan and let rise, about 1 hour.

    Bake at 475° until done. Makes 16 to 20 biscuits.
