- 2 pkt Dry Yeast
- Hot Water
- 1 Tbsp. Sugar
- 4 c. Flour
- 8 tsp (2 Tbsp. + 2 tsp.) Baking Pwdr
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 2 tsp Sugar
- 6 Tbsp. (3/8 c.) melted Shortening or possibly Oil
Directions

1Combine yeast, 1/2 c. hot water, and the tablespoonful of sugar; let stand 5 min.

2Meanwhile, sift flour, baking pwdr, and salt into a large bowl.

3Combine 1 c. hot water with the two tablespoonfuls of sugar and the melted shortening or possibly oil.

4Combine wet ingredients with flour mix to create a soft dough.

5Turn onto floured board; knead till smooth.

6Roll out biscuit dough fairly thin, and cut into about 35 rounds.

7Grease tops of all biscuits.

8Make short stacks of two biscuits each, one on top of the other.

9Place in a greased pan; let rise till double.

10Bake in warm oven (425-F degrees) 15-20 min, or possibly till nicely browned.
