Ingredients
- 1 pkg. active dry yeast
- 1/2 c warm water
- 1/2 c. All-Bran cereal
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. vegetable shortening
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. boiling water
- 1 egg
- 3 c. flour
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in warm water.

2Mix All-Bran cereal, sugar, shortening and salt.

3Pour boiling water over bran mixture.

4Let cool, then add yeast.

5Add egg and half of flour.

6Beat well.

7Add remaining flour.

8Cover and let rise until double in bulk.

9Punch down.
-
10Form into 2 small loaves, place in buttered pans and let rise again until double.

11Just before baking, brush tops of loaves with melted butter.

12Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes.
