  • 1 c. all-bran
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 cake yeast
  • 2 whole eggs
  • 1 c. lukewarm water for yeast
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. boiling water
  • 1 c. lard
  • 6 c. flour

Directions

    Pour 1 cup boiling water over bran and sugar.

    Add yeast to the other cup lukewarm water until dissolved.

    Add to other ingredients, then eggs.

    Add flour and beat thoroughly.

    Place in refrigerator overnight or make at 6 for 12 noon.

    Roll out, cut and let rise 3 hours.

    Bake at 425° until done.
