- 1 c. butter (1/2 c. butter and 1/2 c. lard or Crisco)
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 c. thick milk
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 4 c. flour
- a little hot water (put in last with baking soda)
Directions

1Cream together the sugars and then the butter and lard.

2Add the remaining ingredients.

3Add the hot water last.

4Drop by teaspoon on greased or sprayed pan and bake at 350°.
