Almond Bars (Dunking Type)

- 2 eggs
- 1/2 c. vegetable oil
- 1 c. white sugar
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1 lb. (16 oz.) almond pieces
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. cloves
Directions

1Beat eggs, sugar and oil thoroughly.

2Add all dry ingredients and mix well.

3Add almonds last.

4If almonds don't stick to dough, add a little water.

5Form 3 balls.

6Roll the balls into long strips to fit cookie sheet.

7Place on greased and floured cookie sheet.

8Brush each strip with egg wash (1 egg beaten with 1 tablespoon water).

9Bake in 375° oven for 20 to 25 minutes.

10Cool about 10 minutes.

11Cut cookies at an angle.

12Don't toast them. This is an excellent cookie that you will make often.
