- 1 can (16 oz.) pitted dark sweet cherries in syrup, undrained
- cold water
- 2 cups boiling water
- 1 pkg. (6 oz.) JELL-O Cherry Flavor Gelatin
- 1 tsp. almond extract
- 2 Tbsp. thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping
- 1 Tbsp. PLANTERS Sliced Almonds, toasted
Directions

1Drain cherries, reserving syrup.

2Add enough cold water to syrup to measure 1-1/2 cups.

3Cut cherries in half.

4Add boiling water to gelatin mix in large bowl; stir 2 min.

5until completely dissolved.

6Stir in cherry liquid and almond extract.

7Refrigerate 1-1/2 hours or until thickened.

8Stir in cherries.

9Pour into 5-cup mold sprayed with cooking spray.

10Refrigerate 4 hours or until firm.

11Unmold.

12Top with COOL WHIP and nuts just before serving.
