Ingredients
- 1/2 c. blanched slivered almonds
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. light corn syrup
Directions

1Line bottom and sides of an 8 or 9-inch cake pan with aluminum foil.

2Butter or spray with Pam very heavily.

3Set this pan on hot pads or a heat resistant surface.

4Melt butter in a saucepan.

5Add sugar; stir.

6Add corn syrup and almonds; stir.

7Boil, stirring constantly, until mixture turns golden brown, about 5 or 6 minutes. Working quickly, pour candy in prepared pan.

8Cool about 15 minutes, or until firm.

9Remove candy from pan by lifting edges of foil.

10Peel off foil.

11Cool thoroughly.

12Break into pieces.
