- 1 1/3 c. sifted flour
- 3/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 (6 oz.) pkg. butterscotch pieces
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1/2 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1 c. slivered almonds, chopped
- 1/2 c. finely chopped candied cherries
- 1/2 c. golden raisins, finely chopped
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. grated orange peel
Directions

1Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.

2Melt in saucepan over low heat butterscotch pieces and butter.

3Remove from heat and add brown sugar and sifted ingredients.

4Press into bottom of 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.

5Bake at 325° for 15 minutes.

6Combine and spread over hot crust almonds, candied cherries, raisins, eggs, sugar and orange peel.

7Return to oven and bake 15 to 20 minutes more.

8Remove from oven and cool.

9Cut into 1 1/2 x 2-inch bars. Makes about 36.
