  • 1 puff pastry round base
  • 1 3/8 cups almonds unpeeled
  • 4 eggs
  • 7 1/8 tablespoons margarine
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • powdered sugar for dusting

Directions

    Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius.

    Spread the puff pastry in a round pie pan.

    Mince the almonds in the food processor briefly, for larger pieces. Do not grind to dust.

    Add the eggs, margarine, sugar, and milk. Mix until you get an uniform dough.

    Place mixture in pie crust, and bake for about 30 minutes until it browns. It's ready as soon as it starts cracking.

    Remove from oven, let cool, and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
