  • 3 cups Rolled Oats
  • 1 cup Roughly Chopped Mixed Nuts
  • 1/4 teaspoons Cinnamon
  • 3/4 teaspoons Salt
  • 1/2 cups Plain Unsweetened Applesauce
  • 1/4 cups Brown Sugar
  • 1/3 cups Honey
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 1 Tablespoon Vegetable Oil
  • 1 cup Dried Cherries (or Other Dried Fruit)

Directions

    Preheat oven to 300°F.

    In a large bowl, mix together oats, nuts, cinnamon and salt. Set aside.

    In a small saucepan, warm the applesauce, brown sugar, honey, vanilla and vegetable oil over low heat. Add the applesauce mixture to the oats and stir until everything is evenly coated.

    Spread the mixture onto a baking sheet, making sure you have an even layer and the pan isn't overly crowded. Bake for 30-40 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes, until the golden is golden brown.

    Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely. Add dried fruit. Store in an airtight container.
