  • 1 c. Blanched slivered almonds
  • 1 c. Packed fresh white breadcrumbs
  • 3/4 c. Water, (about)
  • 3 Tbsp. Fresh lemon juice
  • 2 x Garlic cloves
  • 1/2 c. Extra virgin olive oil

Directions

    Finely grind almonds in processor.

    Add in breadcrumbs, 1/4 c. water, lemon juice and garlic and process till thick and smooth, about 2 min.

    With machine running, gradually add in extra virgin olive oil through feed tube.

    Fold in sufficient water to make thick creamy sauce.

    Season to taste with salt.

    (Can be made 2 days ahead.

    Cover and chill.

    Bring to room temperature before serving.)
