  • 4 oz. pastry
  • apricot jam
  • 4 oz. almonds, sliced
  • 2 oz. almond paste
  • 2 oz. sugar
  • 2 oz. margarine or butter
  • 1 egg
  • juice of lemon

Directions

    Cream together the margarine and sugar.

    Beat in eggs.

    Add almonds, paste and lemon juice.

    Use tart pans; cut pastry to fit. Fill each 1/2 full of mixture.

    Bake at 450° for 7 minutes. Reduce to 350°; bake for 30 minutes.

    Dust with sugar.

    On each tart, place dab of jam.
