Ingredients

  • 2 cans Garbanzo Beans (chickpeas)
  • 3 cloves Garlic (to Taste, I Really Really Like Garlic)
  • 1/4 cups Lemon Juice To Taste
  • 3 Tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil (to Desired Texture)
  • 3 teaspoons Cayenne Pepper, Or To Taste
  • 2 teaspoons Salt, Or To Taste
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper To Taste

Directions

    Liberate garlic cloves from their papery skins, drop in a blender or food processor.

    Open up cans of garbanzo beans (not to be confused with cans of whoop-ass), rinse beans in a strainer, drop in a blender or food processor.

    Add lemon juice go cautiously!

    You can always add more, but you really cant take away.

    Add spices see above cautionary statement.

    Turn on your blender or food processor.

    While its whirring, drizzle in olive oil till you get the consistency you desire.

    Serve cold or room temp with chips, crackers, veggies, whatevs.

    **This is called Almost Hummus and not Actually Hummus because I dont include a key ingredient: tahini.

    Its this sesame paste that I have tried and tried to enjoy, and I just cant.
