  • 2 c. milk, scalded
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. ground nutmeg
  • 3 c. soft bread pieces
  • 1/2 c. raisins

Directions

    In small saucepan combine milk and butter; stir until butter is melted.

    Cool to lukewarm.

    Combine eggs, sugar, salt and nutmeg.

    Beat at medium speed 1 minute.

    Stir in milk mixture. Place bread pieces in a lightly greased 1 1/2-quart casserole dish.

    Sprinkle with raisins.

    Add milk mixture.

    Bake at 350° for 50 minutes or until mixture is set.

    Serve warm.
