  • 1 c. powdered sugar
  • 1 c. white sugar
  • 1 c. butter or margarine
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. oil
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 5 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. cream of tartar

Directions

    Cream sugars, butter or margarine and oil until light and fluffy.

    Beat in eggs; mix well.

    Sift dry ingredients; add to creamed mixture and mix well.

    Make into balls and press down with glass that has been dipped in sugar.

    Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 350° for 10 to 12 minutes, until they start to brown around edges.
