- 1 lb. butter
- 1 1/4 lb. flour
- 1 lb. sugar
- 1 lb. raisins
- 9 eggs
- 2 oz. candied peel
- 1/2 oz. chopped almonds
Directions

1Work the butter to a cream; add the flour, the sugar, the raisins, the candied peel and the chopped almonds.

2Mix them well together.

3Whisk the eggs and add them to the dry ingredients. Beat the whole for about 10 minutes.

4Pour the batter into a greased, paper-lined cake pan and bake in a preheated oven for 1 hour or until cake is done at 350°.

5Makes 2 nice sized cakes.
