  • 2 pkg. dry yeast
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 c. buttermilk
  • 1 c. lukewarm water
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 c. cooking oil
  • 5 c. self-rising flour

Directions

    Dissolve yeast and sugar in lukewarm water. Add the remaining ingredients. This will keep in refrigerator for 1 week. Dip out needed amount in flour; pinch off and place in greased skillet. Bake in 400° oven for 10 minutes.
