- 3 c. self-rising flour
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1/4 c. warm water
- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1/2 c. shortening
Directions

1Sift dry ingredients together.

2Add yeast to warm water and let dissolve.

3Mix milk, yeast and shortening with dry ingredients until slightly sticky.

4Form into rolls and place on ungreased baking pan.

5Bake at 450° for 12 to 15 minutes.

6Bake immediately or cover and store in refrigerator up to one week.
