- dash of salt
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 c. shortening
- 2 pkg. yeast, dissolved in 1/4 c. warm water
- 2 c. buttermilk
Directions

7Cut in shortening; add yeast and buttermilk.

8Combine and knead well. Let chill 1 hour.

9Roll out dough on lightly floured surface. Cut out biscuits and let rise in warm place for 1 hour.

10Bake at 350° for 15 minutes.

11Dough may be covered and refrigerated for a week.
