- 5 c. flour
- 5 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 c. vegetable shortening
- 2 c. buttermilk
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in warm water.

3Sift dry ingredients in bowl. Cut shortening into dry ingredients.

4Add buttermilk and yeast mixture to dry ingredients.

5Do not let rise. Roll out biscuits immediately or store in refrigerator.
