- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. warm water
- 4 c. self-rising flour
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1 pkg. yeast
Directions

1Mix yeast in 1/3 cup warm water.

2Cut shortening into flour and sugar.

3Add buttermilk and yeast mixture.

4Mix them, then knead, roll and cut like any other biscuits.

5Dough will keep in refrigerator for several days.

6Bake at 400° until brown, about 12 to 15 minutes.
