  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/3 c. warm water
  • 4 c. self-rising flour
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1 pkg. yeast

Directions

    Mix yeast in 1/3 cup warm water.

    Cut shortening into flour and sugar.

    Add buttermilk and yeast mixture.

    Mix them, then knead, roll and cut like any other biscuits.
