- 5 c. self-rising flour
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 c. vegetable shortening
- 2 c. buttermilk
- 2 pkg. yeast (red label)
- 1/4 c. lukewarm water
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water.

2Mix all dry ingredients together and put in shortening.

3Add to milk and yeast; stir until well blended.

4Grease light sided bowl and place all or part in a bowl.

5Sit in refrigerator.

6Keeps 2 weeks.
