- 2 pkg. yeast
- 4 c. self-rising flour
- 5 Tbsp. shortening
- 2 c. water
Directions

1Dissolve the yeast in 2 cups warm water.

2Add the shortening to mixture.

3Add the flour.

4Mix well. Cover with wax paper and let rise to double. Roll out on floured surface and cut.

5Place on cookie sheet and let rise about 30 minutes. Bake at 400° for 10 to 15 minutes.
