- 6 c. self-rising flour
- 2 c. buttermilk
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. soda, dissolved in 1/3 c. water
- 1 c. warm water
- 2 pkg. dry yeast
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. shortening
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in warm water.

2Mix all ingredients together. Stir until well mixed.

3Put in refrigerator for about 30 minutes. Spoon onto baking sheet as needed.

4Store unused portion in the refrigerator.

5Will keep 3 or 4 days.

6Bake 18 to 20 minutes at 400°.
