- 5 c. self-rising flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. sugar
- 2 pkg. yeast
- 1/2 c. warm water
- 1 c. Crisco
- 2 c. buttermilk
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in warm water; add sugar, salt and shortening. Mix well and add flour and buttermilk.

2Chill.

3Dough will keep in refrigerator for 5 days.

4Roll out, cut and let rise about 45 minutes.

5Bake at 425° for 12 to 15 minutes.

6Yields 60 biscuits.
