- 5 c. flour
- 3/4 c. shortening
- 1 tsp. soda
- 2 pkg. dry yeast, dissolved in 1/2 c. lukewarm water
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 c. buttermilk
Directions

1Sift dry ingredients together.

2Cut in shortening until thoroughly mixed.

3Add buttermilk and yeast; work together until flour is moist.

4Cover and put in refrigerator until ready to use. Roll 1/2-inch thick; let rise 30 minutes.

5Bake at 400° for about 12 minutes.

6This recipe will make 6 dozen.

7Will keep in refrigerator 2 weeks.

8Take out what you need at a time.

9Use a jigger for cutting biscuits out.
