- 5 c. self-rising flour
- 1 c. shortening
- 2 pkg. yeast
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 2 c. buttermilk
Directions

1Mix together flour, yeast, sugar and soda.

2Cut Crisco into flour until mixture resembles small peas.

3Add buttermilk and mix well.

4Dough will be sticky.

5You can shape into biscuits, rings or whatever.

6Bake at 450° for about 10 minutes.

7When making biscuits, make sure the sides of each touch slightly.

8You can refrigerate this dough, covered for up to 7 days, using it as you wish.
