- 2 Tbsp. warm water
- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. Crisco
- 2 c. buttermilk
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in warm water.

2Combine dry ingredients.

3Cut in shortening.

4Add yeast and buttermilk; knead well.

5Roll out and cut with biscuit cutter.

6Place in baking pan; let rise for 30 minutes.

7Bake at 400° for 20 minutes.

8Any remaining dough can be refrigerated for up to 2 weeks.
