- 5 c. self-rising flour
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 c. shortening
- 3 pkg. yeast
- 1/4 c. warm water
- 2 c. buttermilk
Directions

1Sift flour, sugar and soda.

2Add shortening; mix well. Dissolve the yeast in warm water.

3Add buttermilk to yeast and add liquid to flour mix.

4After mixing thoroughly, roll out and cut. Bake at 450° until golden brown.

5May be stored up to 1 week in refrigerator.
