  • 5 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 34 cup shortening
  • 1 (1/4 ounce) dry yeast
  • 2 cups buttermilk

Directions

    Mix dry ingredients.

    Cut in shortening and dissolve yeast in 3 Tbsp's of warm water,add yeast and buttermilk; mixing well.

    Roll dough out on lightly floured surface.

    Cut with small biscuit cutter.

    Bake on greased sheet in preheated 400 for 12 minute or until golden brown.
