  • 14 cup sugar
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 tablespoons warm water
  • 1 34 ounces dry yeast
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 1 cup shortening
