- 5 c. flour
- 1 tsp. soda
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. warm water
- 2 c. buttermilk
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 c. shortening
- 1 yeast cake or 1 pkg. dry yeast
Directions

1Mix dry ingredients.

2Cut in shortening,

3Dissolve dry yeast in warm water.

4Add to buttermilk.

5Add to dry ingredients.

6Roll out thin, fold over and roll again.

7Cut like biscuits.

8Saturate with butter.

9May be baked immediately or will keep in refrigerator in bulk. Cook as you would biscuits.

10This will keep for several days.

11You do not have to let rise before baking. Bake at 375°.
